Connecting Africans of the Diaspora to Home, Heritage, and Community

Becoming a member of the Central Region Association of African Americans in Ghana (CRAAAG) means joining a vibrant, supportive, and culturally rooted community dedicated to unity, integration, and shared growth. Whether you are returning home, settling in Ghana for the first time, or seeking meaningful connections with people of shared heritage, CRAAAG offers a welcoming space where Africans of the Diaspora and Africans living in Ghana come together to thrive.

Who Can Become a Member?

Membership in CRAAAG is open to people of African ancestry, including:

- Africans from the Diaspora
- African Americans
- Ghanaians
- Other African nationals living in Ghana

We proudly welcome individuals from all walks of life who share a commitment to African unity, cultural exchange, mutual respect, and community development. Whether you are newly arrived in Ghana or have lived here for years, CRAAAG provides a platform to connect, contribute, and grow.

Fill Out an Application

Click the “Request to Join” button below to access our online membership application form and submit your information to begin the membership process.

Application Review & Interview

A member of the Akwaaba (Welcome) and Welfare Committee will review your information. You will be contacted to schedule an interview and orientation session.

Orientation & Welcome

New members participate in an orientation session to get introduced to CRAAAG’s structure, activities, committees, and community culture. After orientation, you officially become part of the CRAAAG family.
